Senior Software Engineer – Backend

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Create, implement, and oversee Microservices utilizing Python, Go, and Java.

• Design and develop cloud-based software solutions that adhere to industry best practices.

• Develop systems, services, and tools to support new Ocrolus products and business needs, ensuring secure scalability for millions of transactions.

• Enhance and expand our rapidly growing online services and data pipelines.

• Work collaboratively with other teams to focus on security, reliability, and automation.

• Assist in the testing process, troubleshoot issues, and resolve them efficiently.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.

• 3 to 5 years of engineering experience.

• Proficient in Java and/or Python with a background in developing complex systems and applications.

• Strong database knowledge (Postgres, MySQL, etc.) along with data modeling experience.

• Familiarity with Web Frameworks such as Spring, Flask, and associated ecosystems.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and communication skills.

• Capability to contribute best practices and architectural guidance for our backend applications, assisting in the selection of architecture, frameworks, and tools for our next-generation platform.

• Proven experience in leading and managing projects from inception to completion.

• Experience with agile methodologies and automated testing.

• Knowledge of containerization, microservices architecture, continuous integration, Amazon Web Services, and deployment strategies.
