Senior Software Engineer – Backend

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design and implement scalable, dependable, and high-performing backend systems that support intricate enterprise workflows and operational infrastructures.

• Utilize an AI-centric engineering approach to swiftly prototype, iterate, validate, and deliver effective solutions.

• Employ AI-enhanced workflows, automation, observability, and testing methodologies to elevate software quality, expedite delivery, minimize manual tasks, and improve operational reliability throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

• Promote progressive delivery methodologies, controlled rollouts, production stability, and continuous improvements in engineering practices.

• Collaborate with Product, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Quality Assurance (QA), frontend, mobile, and cross-functional engineering teams to provide high-quality, customer-centric solutions.

• Enhance engineering excellence through the sharing of reusable knowledge, comprehensive documentation, ownership practices, and initiatives for continuous improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Approximately 5+ years of professional experience in developing backend applications and enterprise-level software platforms.

• Solid hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, Maven, and backend service development within distributed environments.

• Practical experience with AI engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot, Windsurf, Codex, Kiro, or comparable AI-driven development platforms.

• Experience in creating cloud-native applications utilizing AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and microservices architectures.

• Familiarity with MongoDB, Redis, S3, DynamoDB, and real-time integration patterns within distributed systems.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, GitLab CI, Argo CD, DevOps methodologies, feature-flag-driven development, and progressive delivery platforms like Split.io.

• Strong grasp of observability, production support, secure coding practices, service integrations, and modern Agile/Scrum engineering environments.

• Experience with Python for automation, scripting, AI-assisted workflows, or backend tooling.

• Experience with JavaScript, frontend technologies, and contemporary web application development.
