Senior Software Engineer, Backend

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Design and develop distributed systems using Go that enable customers to send timely and relevant messages at scale.

• Collaborate with various teams to troubleshoot issues and provide dependable solutions.

• Take full ownership of problems from start to finish - covering architecture and schema design, testing, deployment, and monitoring.

• Enhance knowledge sharing and elevate standards by publicly sharing your progress through brief videos, insightful writing, and mentorship.

• Utilize AI agents to execute multi-file modifications by defining the scope of work, crafting the prompt, and validating the output.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in developing scalable, distributed systems in Go or similar statically typed programming languages.

• Proficient in navigating cloud-native environments such as AWS or GCP.

• Knowledge of relational databases (we utilize MySQL) and an understanding of performance trade-offs.

• Experience with observability tools and managing production systems.

• A proactive approach that favors action over perfection, along with a sense of pride in making technical decisions.
