Senior Software Engineer, Back End

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and maintain elements of our software platform that facilitate attendance analytics, process management, and family communication tools.

• Uphold and enhance our student and attendance data systems, guaranteeing they remain efficient and scalable as they expand to accommodate tens of millions of records.

• Introduce new features that improve product functionalities and lead to significant outcomes for schools and students.

• Automate operational and monitoring processes to ensure system reliability and scalability.

• Refine and enhance our AWS infrastructure to boost performance, efficiency, and system resilience.

• Engage in technical discussions and assist in formulating practical, scalable solutions that balance speed, quality, and long-term maintainability.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to convert product needs into technical solutions and deliver high-quality results.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in software engineering, with a solid foundation in constructing scalable backend systems.

• Advanced expertise in our core technology stack (or comparable technologies), which includes:

• Experience with AWS infrastructure, utilizing tools such as Terraform, ECS, RDS/Aurora, SES, and messaging systems like SQS/SNS.

• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and priorities, maintaining keen attention to detail while delivering high-quality results on schedule.

• Excellent communication skills, capable of clearly explaining technical concepts, trade-offs, and decisions to various stakeholders.

• Comfortable navigating ambiguous and dynamic environments, with a proactive and solutions-focused approach.

• Experience in collaborating across teams to foster alignment, communicate progress, and achieve shared objectives.

• Background in working within environments characterized by broad scope and ambiguity, with the capability to operate across various areas of the stack.

• Experience in the education sector or education technology is a plus.

• Proficiency in English (both written and verbal) is essential.
