Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Become a part of Trimble’s Common Platform team to design impactful features and lead AI-driven workflows.

• Improve mission-critical software applications and contribute to business continuity.

• Lead the charge in modern engineering by incorporating AI-assisted methods into the TTC integration ecosystem.

• Create, implement, and enhance robust solutions throughout the entire application stack.

• Utilize AI-powered development tools to speed up development and improve code quality.

• Promote AI-native development practices and share knowledge and techniques within the team.

• Manage the complete software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and performance optimization.

• Work collaboratively with stakeholders to deliver user-friendly and efficient software.

• Take the initiative to drive projects from uncertain beginnings, define PRDs, and utilize AI technologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

• At least 5+ years of professional experience in developing and deploying enterprise-level software applications.

• Proven expertise in Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.

• AI-Native Proficiency: Must be an expert in using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Gemini CLI).

• Architectural Depth: Significant experience in designing distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven architectures (Azure/AWS).

• Database & Data Modeling: Strong skills in schema design and data modeling, with experience in both NoSQL and SQL databases.

• Demonstrated knowledge of modern CI/CD pipelines and best practices.

• Exceptional problem-solving skills with the capacity to work effectively independently and as part of a team.

• Strong Communication: Ability to clearly convey complex technical "intent" to both AI agents and human stakeholders.
