Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create scalable and maintainable full stack systems that align with Sharetec's Digital roadmap.

• Lead technical design discussions for ongoing modernization projects and the new Digital API integration layer.

• Develop, test, and sustain production-quality features for Sharetec’s Digital Banking web and mobile platform.

• Oversee work throughout the entire lifecycle—from design and implementation to code review, testing, and production monitoring.

• Work closely with Digital engineering colleagues as a collaborative peer—exchanging context, participating in design reviews, and proactively supporting team success.

• Act as a dependable technical owner for one or more modules or feature areas within the Digital platform.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional software engineering experience demonstrating full stack ownership.

• Strong expertise in React and TypeScript—developing and maintaining production-quality frontend applications.

• Familiarity with Next.js or a similar server-side rendering framework.

• Experience deploying production mobile applications to the App Store (iOS) and Google Play (Android)—our mobile apps are created with React Native; candidates with native Swift or Kotlin experience are encouraged to apply as that experience is highly relevant.

• Robust backend development experience—our technology stack includes C# / ASP.NET Core, and candidates with experience in Node.js, Go, PHP, or other strongly-typed backend languages are welcome to apply; comfort with learning and working in C# is expected.

• Strong API design and integration experience—RESTful APIs with knowledge of versioning, authentication, and external service integrations.

• Experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL in a production setting—candidates with experience in Redis, MongoDB, or other data stores are also welcomed and will find that experience relevant.

• Familiarity with Docker and containerized development or deployment environments.

• Proven experience in contributing to or leading the modernization of an existing production system (not solely greenfield projects).

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote-first, asynchronous environment.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
