Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.

📋 Description

• Utilize cutting-edge technology and tools to produce scalable, maintainable code.

• Function within a hybrid setting, encompassing both on-premises and multi-cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).

• Collaborate and engage in the development of solutions alongside cross-disciplinary teams.

• Actively take part in code reviews, using them to uphold best practices and enhance software craftsmanship.

• Each engineer contributes to the development and progression of our technology roadmap.

• Experiment with a variety of innovative emerging technologies and assist in product evaluations as we identify new software and tools for deployment in our environments.

• Exhibit a strong sense of ownership and accountability for the work produced.

• Ability to support team success, as well as pursue individual achievements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant hands-on experience with Java 8+ (including streams, lambdas, and concurrency).

• Professional, production experience with .NET (mandatory).

• Expertise in Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Security, and Hibernate/JPA.

• Ability to design scalable microservices architectures.

• Experience with AWS (preferred), Azure, or GCP.

• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Maven/Gradle.

• Comprehensive understanding of RESTful APIs, OpenAPI/Swagger, and API security best practices.

• Experience with both relational and NoSQL databases.

• Skilled in JVM tuning, profiling, and performance optimization.

• Proven capability to lead teams, deliver large-scale systems, and make impactful technical decisions.

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree or equivalent experience; adept at using AI-enabled tools and adapting to evolving technology and workflows.

• Experience in a financial institution with a focus on lending (preferred).

• Expertise in AWS (preferred).

• Familiarity with event-driven architecture and messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ) (preferred).

• Knowledge of testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit, Mockito) (preferred).
