This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create and deploy human-in-the-loop interfaces that allow internal operators to review, amend, and approve AI-generated sports statistics in real time across numerous concurrent live streams.
• Design and implement fan-in-the-loop experiences — including interactive highlights, live stat overlays, and engagement features — for NFHS Network, GoFan, and MaxPreps.
• Take ownership of features from inception to completion: handling data modeling and API design through to frontend implementation and production deployment. You will deliver, not merely specify.
• Incorporate AI/ML model outputs (computer vision, LLMs) into production applications, creating the service layer that connects models with users.
• Build reusable Python service templates and UI component patterns that define the team’s standard for AI-centric development.
• Collaborate with computer vision engineers, product managers, and data teams to convert pipeline outputs into user-friendly, high-performance experiences.
• Contribute to system design and architectural decisions within the streaming intelligence program. Engage in code reviews, design reviews, and technical documentation.
• Assist in evaluating and integrating third-party tools and vendor APIs (annotation platforms, model serving infrastructure) as the platform expands.
• Over 3 years of professional software engineering experience with a strong proficiency in Python and a proven history of developing production web applications and APIs.
• Builder mindset — you have successfully delivered end-to-end features from concept to production, rather than just maintaining current systems. You prioritize action and iterate swiftly.
• Experience in integrating AI/ML models into user-facing applications (LLM APIs, computer vision pipelines, or similar). You are aware of the real-world challenges in making model outputs beneficial to users.
• Strong foundation in API design, data modeling, and service architecture. You produce clean, testable code and take pride in the systems you create.
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS EKS, S3) and contemporary data tools (Snowflake, Kafka, or similar).
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across disciplines — you can discuss user flows with a product manager and model outputs with a data scientist in the same day.
• Bonus: experience with frontend technologies such as React/TypeScript (particularly for interactive annotation or dashboard UIs), familiarity with sports data or video analytics, experience with annotation tools (Roboflow, CVAT, Label Studio), or a passion for developer experience and internal tooling.
• A variety of medical insurance plans to select from
• Dental, vision, life, and disability insurance
• Employee Emergency Fund
• Company equity (stock options)
• Flexible PTO policy
• 401K plan with company matching
• Hybrid/flexible work environment
