Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Expedite Client Onboarding: Gain a thorough understanding of PHIL’s architecture to develop a repeatable, highly adaptable technical playbook for efficiently launching new clients and programs.

• Design Advanced Workflows: Create and oversee complex, rule-based workflows to enhance pharmacy operations, ensure compliance, and boost patient engagement while reducing processing errors.

• Propel AI Automation: Utilize AI-first development methodologies to construct intelligent automations that enhance the quality, reliability, and speed of platform releases.

• Architect & Scale Backend Systems: Design and uphold highly dependable, low-latency APIs and microservices using AWS native tools (ECS/EKS, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB).

• Ensure System Reliability: Write clean and observable code with comprehensive logging and monitoring to guarantee fault tolerance and zero downtime in a critical healthcare setting.

• Cross-Functional Leadership: Work closely with Product Managers, Data Analysts, and external stakeholders to align technical solutions with business growth goals.

• Technical Anchor: Serve as a mentor to junior engineers, fostering a culture of strict architectural discipline, rapid innovation, and technical accountability.

• Technical Escalation & Documentation: Document platform architecture to ensure long-term maintainability and act as the engineering tier-escalation point for intricate client launch challenges.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of software engineering experience in building, scaling, and maintaining extensive distributed systems.

• Experience in the health-tech domain (HIPAA compliance) is preferred.

• Strong expertise in Golang (or a similar modern backend language) with a proven history of developing robust backend services.

• Practical experience with Cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure) and relational/NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or DynamoDB).

• In-depth understanding of workflow engines or applications that feature high levels of configuration and variations across enterprise clients.

• Familiarity with the testing pyramid, CI/CD pipelines, and the use of AI-first development tools to enhance engineering workflows.
