Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and sustain high-quality Hogan IDS / CIS / UMB / RPM applications and batch processes.

• Engage extensively with HOGAN, JCL, JSCAN, EZTRIEVE, VSAM, TSO Utilities, CA7, FILEAID, XPEDITER, and ABEND-AID.

• Utilize our DevOps pipeline to construct, test, and deploy code.

• Diagnose complex production issues, ensuring the reliability and performance of critical systems.

• Implement and deploy API sets through zOS Connect and REST services.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for the analysis, design, testing, and implementation of solutions.

• Utilize IBM’s new zDIH technology to enhance data integration, improve analytics accessibility, and advance modernization initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate’s degree along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in systems analysis and/or application development, or a Bachelor's degree with at least 3 years of experience in the same fields.

• Alternatively, a combination of education and relevant work experience totaling a minimum of 7 years, including at least 3 years of experience in systems analysis and/or application development.

• Advanced proficiency in: HOGAN IDS / CIS / RPM / UMB, JCL, JSCAN, EZTRIEVE, TSO/ISPF Utilities, CA7, FILEAID, XPEDITER, and ABEND-AID.

• Strong comprehension of batch processing, data flows, and performance optimization.

• Demonstrated capability to troubleshoot complex system challenges within large-scale environments.
