This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

• Design, implement, and maintain services that are highly scalable and performant.
• Take ownership of the quality and reliability of services by enhancing code, testing strategies, observability, and operational excellence.
• Convert business requirements into technical solutions while proactively identifying trade-offs, risks, and opportunities.
• Make data-driven technical decisions by utilizing system insights and input from cross-functional teams.
• Contribute to and help advance engineering standards, best practices, and team processes.
• Utilize AI-assisted tools (e.g., for coding, testing, and observability) to deploy changes safely and efficiently, while upholding high engineering standards.
• Work with an agile, iterative mindset, promoting continuous improvement in both systems and team practices.
• Act as a subject matter expert within your team and share expertise across teams when necessary.
• Manage the delivery of moderately complex projects from start to finish, including design and production support.
• Participate in system design discussions and contribute to architectural decisions within your domain.
• Over 5 years of professional experience in software engineering.
• Significant experience in designing, building, deploying, operating, and maintaining cloud-based web services and microservices (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.).
• Extensive experience with various programming languages (Go, Java, Python, C#, Rust, etc.).
• Strong familiarity with both relational and non-relational database technologies.
• Proven skills in debugging and troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of component-level and application-level design patterns along with their practical applications.
• Ability to navigate ambiguous and complex project requirements.
• Effective communicator, both verbally and in writing.
• Experience with observability and monitoring systems (Datadog, Sumo Logic, Cloudwatch, Sentry, etc.).
• Familiarity with various testing practices.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
