Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Play a crucial role in shaping Nostra's long-term objectives and their implementation.

• Partner with executive leadership and various teams throughout the organization to establish initiatives and the technical roadmap.

• Ensure coherence of OKR-level goals across the company.

• Create technical vision documents with a long-term perspective (>1 year) and assist teams in translating this vision into actionable tasks.

• Strategically plan enhancements and features with a 6-month outlook, significantly improving customer satisfaction, ease of onboarding, and technical efficiency.

• Lead and supervise the research, development, and design of engineering projects.

• Address technical challenges of the highest scope, complexity, and ambiguity.

• Deliver highly impactful features and enhancements with minimal direction.

• Mentor engineers, promoting a culture of continual learning and development.

• Act as a point of escalation for sub-department teams encountering complex technical issues.

• Keep abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance our systems and products continuously.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of software engineering experience, with a robust background in developing and scaling multi-tenant SaaS platforms.

• Expertise in modern programming languages such as Typescript (preferred), Python, and Javascript.

• Experience with cloud solutions (e.g., AWS, Cloudflare), infrastructure as code (e.g., Pulumi), and data storage technologies (e.g., Postgres, Snowflake).

• Proven ability to design and implement scalable, distributed systems.

• Proficient in business intelligence tools and SQL.

• Demonstrated experience in optimizing website performance and speed.

• Strong understanding of browser optimization techniques, including the use of web workers, lazy loading, code splitting, and strategies to enhance front-end performance.

• Familiarity with content delivery networks (e.g., Cloudflare), DNS, message queues (e.g., SQS, Kinesis), and CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience with e-commerce platforms such as Shopify and Salesforce Commerce Cloud is advantageous.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication and organizational skills, and a collaborative mindset.

• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
