Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.

📋 Description

• Take charge of platform-level technical decisions regarding distributed cloud components and microservices

• Guide and mentor the development team

• Create, develop, and enhance real-time data pipelines

• Define and implement REST APIs and microservice architectures for large-scale IoT deployments

• Supervise the deployment and operations of cloud infrastructure (AWS or similar)

• Design and manage LoRaWAN networks along with other IoT protocols

• Create and implement scalable, high-performance data systems

• Propel technical strategy for web interfaces and dashboards

• Lead initiatives related to IoT security

• Ensure the platform adheres to ISO 9001 standards

• Collaborate across various teams

• Provide senior-level technical direction and Level 3 support for production IoT systems

• Develop and implement automated unit and integration tests

• Document the platform architecture and operational procedures

• Engage in Agile planning and governance

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline

• 5 years of relevant, progressive, post-baccalaureate experience

• Proficient in architecting and developing cloud-native IoT software platforms using C# (.NET 6 or later)

• Experienced in designing and managing real-time data pipelines connecting IoT devices, gateways, and cloud platforms

• Skilled in configuring and managing LoRaWAN networks and LNS systems

• Experienced in deploying, managing, and monitoring cloud infrastructure (AWS or similar)

• Proficient in implementing and optimizing data persistence layers using MySQL, with exposure to Cassandra or similar databases

• Skilled in designing and implementing distributed REST APIs and microservice architectures

• Knowledgeable in applying secure software development practices

• Experienced in developing and executing automated unit and integration tests (e.g., NUnit)

• Familiar with ISO 9001-compliant software development processes and ISO design principles
