Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain advanced backend functionalities that ensure scalability, reliability, and outstanding user experiences.

• Structure and enhance APIs and services with a focus on performance, clarity, and long-term maintainability.

• Participate in the design and implementation of AI-driven features utilizing techniques such as LLMs, RAG, embeddings, vector databases, and agent-based workflows.

• Leverage contemporary AI coding tools to expedite development while upholding rigorous standards for accuracy, security, and maintainability.

• Detect and address performance issues across application code, databases, and infrastructure.

• Assist in ensuring our systems uphold high standards for data integrity, privacy, and security.

• Collaborate closely with frontend engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver integrated solutions.

• Mentor fellow engineers, engage in technical decision-making, and foster a culture of learning and continuous improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in building backend systems using PHP and Laravel (or similar frameworks).

• Profound experience managing production MySQL databases at scale.

• Experience implementing AI technologies in production systems or a proven ability to learn and deploy new technologies swiftly and responsibly.

• Practical knowledge of modern AI concepts such as LLMs, embeddings, vector databases, RAG, or AI agents — you may not be an expert in all but have engaged with or explored some and understand their application in real-world systems.

• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred).

• Comfort working in CI/CD-driven environments.

• Strong communication skills in both written and remote-first contexts.

• Ability to decompose complex systems into manageable, well-structured components.

• A collaborative mindset and a willingness to both provide and receive constructive feedback.

• Proven ability to work effectively within distributed or remote teams.
