This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in defining and enhancing the software development practices that contribute to our team's effectiveness.
• Produce clean, maintainable, and testable code with a focus on observability and resilience.
• Mentor and empower junior engineers on your team, supporting them in taking ownership of larger projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional team members and stakeholders to establish the vision and scope of your product area.
• Partner with Management, Product Engineering, and Operations to strategize and forecast quarterly objectives that balance tech debt, bug fixes, and new features.
• Advocate for the complete software development lifecycle, from requirements and design to testing, deployment, and production support/monitoring.
• Embrace new challenges across the full-stack as we advance Cribl Cloud.
• Participate in on-call duties and engage in a team culture that promotes service ownership.
• This role will entail stand-by, on-call, or off-hours responsibilities.
• Candidates must meet U.S. government security requirements for accessing FedRAMP-authorized systems, which may include U.S. citizenship.
• Proficient in writing clean, maintainable, and testable full-stack code (Node.js/TypeScript).
• Experience in complex development environments, particularly within large-scale highly available distributed systems and SaaS platforms.
• Proven experience in creating resilient and scalable backend services on major cloud providers, preferably AWS.
• Skilled in developing secure and intuitive RESTful APIs and interfaces.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, Linux, and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with secure web development practices, troubleshooting complex application workflows, and performance tuning.
• Experience utilizing assertion frameworks and tools like Mocha, Cypress, and Jest for automating regression tests.
• Self-motivated with minimal supervision and a proven ability to learn quickly.
• Detail-oriented and committed to producing elegant, high-quality software.
• Extensive experience with CI/CD pipelines such as BitBucket, Jenkins, CircleCI, etc.
• A wide range of experience implementing various cloud design patterns.
• Experience with serverless/lambda-based solutions.
• Proficient in implementing Authentication & Authorization for both internal and external customers.
