Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with an energetic team on our cutting-edge payments platform

• Contribute significantly to the development and upkeep of our foundational financial services platform

• Design and implement high-quality, scalable, and maintainable backend systems utilizing Java technologies such as REST, SOAP, and Hibernate

• Work alongside cross-functional teams to gather, analyze requirements, and convert them into technical specifications and designs

• Develop and sustain efficient and robust RESTful APIs and microservices

• Write clean, reusable, and testable code, following industry best practices and coding standards

• Perform comprehensive code reviews to ensure software quality and integrity

• Detect and resolve software defects and performance issues, providing prompt bug fixes

• Enhance backend systems for optimal performance, scalability, and security

• Integrate third-party libraries, tools, and APIs as necessary

• Manage databases and establish efficient data storage and retrieval methods

• Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure smooth integration between front-end and back-end systems

• Engage in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or 10+ years of relevant experience

• Strong expertise in the Java programming language and associated frameworks (e.g., Spring, Hibernate)

• Comprehensive understanding of backend development concepts, including RESTful architecture, microservices, and asynchronous processing

• Experience with relational databases (e.g., MSSQL) and skilled in crafting efficient SQL queries

• Familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB)

• Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and familiarity with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) processes

• Emphasis on developing secure applications subject to various audits (OWASP, SSAE16, PCI)

• Proficiency in build tools (e.g., Maven, Gradle) and dependency management

• Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to debug complex issues

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team environment

• Proven track record of delivering high-quality software projects on time and within budget

• Familiarity with various Agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall) is an advantage
