Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain essential components of the clearing house using Go on GCP, which includes customer onboarding processes, entitlement logic, and data ingestion pipelines.

• Assume responsibility for ambiguous challenges and defined features or subsystems, guiding them from design to production while ensuring appropriate testing and observability.

• Collaborate closely with staff and principal engineers to implement scalable architectural patterns.

• Create backend systems that manage unstructured data inputs from enterprise clients and generate structured, validated outputs.

• Engage in on-call rotation and assist in incident response and postmortem activities.

• Become a key engineer for one or more core subsystems, leading collaborative efforts across multiple engineers over several months.

• Review code, provide constructive feedback, and elevate the team's engineering standards.

• Contribute to infrastructure-as-code and operational tooling utilizing Terraform and GCP-native tools.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong foundation in backend engineering with proven experience in shipping and maintaining production systems.

• Proficient in Go programming with experience in GCP and Terraform.

• Ability to tackle unstructured data challenges (including parsing, validating, and deduplicating) with a systematic and analytical mindset.

• Experience working in a team that emphasizes operational excellence, including monitoring, alerting, and graceful degradation.

• Capable of defining and driving features independently with minimal supervision.

• Familiarity with customer-facing APIs or workflow systems is advantageous.

• Knowledge in the security or infrastructure domain is beneficial.
