Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Develop and maintain essential components of the clearing house using Go on GCP, including customer onboarding processes, entitlement logic, and data ingestion pipelines.

• Assume responsibility for ambiguous challenges and specific features or subsystems, guiding them from design to production with the necessary testing and observability.

• Collaborate closely with staff and principal engineers to implement scalable architectural patterns.

• Create backend systems capable of processing unstructured data inputs from enterprise customers and generating structured, validated outputs.

• Engage in on-call rotation and assist with incident response and postmortem analyses.

• Become a key engineer for one or more core subsystems, leading cross-engineer initiatives over a multi-month timeframe.

• Conduct code reviews, provide direct feedback, and elevate the team's engineering standards.

• Contribute to infrastructure-as-code and operational tools utilizing Terraform and GCP-native technologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong foundation in backend engineering with experience in shipping and maintaining production systems.

• Proficient in Go programming; familiarity with GCP and Terraform is essential.

• Capable of addressing unstructured data challenges (including parsing, validating, and deduplicating) through a systematic and analytical approach.

• Experience in teams that emphasize operational excellence, including monitoring, alerting, and graceful degradation.

• Ability to independently scope and drive features with minimal supervision.

• Experience with customer-facing APIs or workflow systems is advantageous.

• Knowledge in security or infrastructure domains is a plus.
