Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Develop, construct, and sustain backend features and APIs for US Legal Forms utilizing PHP/Laravel.

• Adopt an AI-centric approach in daily tasks — identify and implement strategies that leverage AI to enhance team efficiency in building and delivering products.

• Collaborate across departments when necessary, which may involve some React frontend development.

• Evaluate A/B test results and take responsibility for the effect of your contributions on product results.

• Participate in technical and procedural decisions, aiding the team in functioning autonomously with minimal involvement from project management.

• Produce thoroughly tested, maintainable code and assist in maintaining quality standards.

• Actively propose ideas that enhance the team's speed, intelligence, and overall impact.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in backend development.

• Proficient in PHP/Laravel.

• Practical experience with AI tools aimed at improving actual development tasks.

• Strong background with REST APIs, SQL/MySQL, message queues (SQS), and cloud/AWS services.

• Familiarity with good testing practices and a strong commitment to code quality.

• Basic knowledge of Python for certain tasks.

• Fundamental understanding of React for cross-functional teamwork.

• Self-motivated and independent, with a strong sense of ownership; comfortable making decisions in a low-bureaucracy environment.

• English proficiency at B1 level or higher.
