Senior Software Engineer – AI SaaS Software

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Architect and enhance backend systems (Scala / Play / Postgres / AWS)

• Design and implement scalable APIs and AI-assisted services

• Take ownership of feature development from ideation to production

• Develop frontend features using React, Chakra, Storybook, and contemporary state management tools

• Create and sustain agent-driven development workflows

• Utilize tools such as Claude Code / Codex to expedite implementation, debugging, and refactoring across multiple sessions simultaneously

• Build internal tools, prompts, and “engineering systems” that enhance velocity and code quality

• Optimize performance across frontend, backend, and AI-assisted pipelines

• Contribute to defining best practices for AI-native software development

• Eventually manage a small team (2–3 engineers) and influence their collaboration with AI

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of software engineering experience

• Strong background in backend systems (Scala, or Java / Ruby / C#)

• Proficient in JavaScript and React

• Experience in building and scaling SaaS products

• Deep understanding of AI coding tools (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, etc.)

• Ability to work comfortably in multi-session, agent-driven workflows

• Strong judgment on when to utilize AI versus manual implementation

• Experience in system design, not merely feature implementation

• Excellent written communication skills (async-first culture)
