Senior Software Engineer – AI SaaS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and enhance backend systems (Scala / Play / Postgres / AWS)

• Create and implement scalable APIs and AI-driven services

• Take ownership of feature development from conception to production

• Develop frontend components utilizing React, Chakra, Storybook, and contemporary state management tools

• Build and sustain agent-driven development processes

• Leverage tools such as Claude Code / Codex to speed up implementation, debugging, and refactoring across multiple sessions simultaneously

• Establish internal tools, prompts, and “engineering systems” that enhance productivity and code quality

• Enhance performance across frontend, backend, and AI-assisted pipelines

• Contribute to defining best practices for AI-focused software development

• Eventually manage a small team (2–3 engineers) and influence their interaction with AI.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in software engineering

• Extensive experience with backend systems (Scala, or Java / Ruby / C#)

• Proficient in JavaScript and React

• Experience in building and scaling SaaS products

• In-depth knowledge of AI coding tools (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, etc.)

• Comfortable working within multi-session, agent-driven workflows

• Strong understanding of when to utilize AI versus manual coding

• Experience in designing systems, not just implementing features

• Exceptional written communication skills (async-first culture).
