Senior Software Engineer – AI Products

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Develop, enhance, and sustain the essential services of Conexa AI.

• Design and implement generative and agentic AI features in a production environment.

• Construct and advance multi-stack distributed systems (Node.js, Python, Java).

• Work on integrations among microservices, legacy systems, and AI platforms.

• Engage with message queues and event-driven architectures for asynchronous processing.

• Model, optimize, and manage relational, non-relational, and vector databases.

• Occasionally contribute to the product front end.

• Investigate, diagnose, and resolve intricate technical challenges in multi-tenant production settings.

• Ensure code quality through automated testing and agent quality evaluations.

• Identify and suggest new applications of generative/agentic AI within the Conexa ecosystem.

• Rapidly prototype hypotheses for AI features prior to full-scale implementation.

• Actively participate in defining the application of AI within the team roadmap.

• Bring cutting-edge AI knowledge to the team and assess practical implementation.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver cohesive solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience with Node.js and NestJS, with expertise in strict TypeScript and microservices architectures.

• Strong background in Java and Spring (Boot, Data, Security).

• Proficient in Python (FastAPI or equivalent) for the development of services and APIs, particularly in the realm of generative AI.

• Practical experience in building AI agents, RAG pipelines, and integrations with LLMs in a production context.

• Familiarity with workflow orchestration and automation tools (n8n or similar).

• Robust knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL).

• Experience with non-relational databases (MongoDB, Redis) and event-driven architectures (RabbitMQ, BullMQ).

• Understanding of vector databases and the concepts of embeddings/semantic search.

• Experience in API design and versioning for RESTful APIs and WebSockets.

• Capability to read and enhance front-end code in React/TypeScript when required.

• Regular and advanced utilization of agentic AI tools during the development process.

• Familiarity with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).

• Analytical and proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence technical decisions.
