Senior Software Engineer, AI-Native

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Develop software in an AI-native manner, guiding agents and LLMs based on specifications while taking technical ownership of the results.

• Define, orchestrate, evaluate, and assume responsibility for the produced code.

• Lead the Spec-Driven Development cycle, transforming requirements into executable specifications and contextual artifacts.

• Adjust AI autonomy based on the associated risks and the maturity of the context.

• Engage in the Augmented Pull Request process, assessing syntax, intent, acceptance criteria, technical decisions, and functional outcomes.

• Enhance skills, patterns, architectural decisions, connectors, and MCPs to ensure agent consistency and reliability.

• Implement solid architecture and engineering practices for both monolithic and distributed systems.

• Deliver clean, testable, and maintainable code that prioritizes business value.

• Contribute to automated testing and observability to ensure the quality and cost-effectiveness of AI outputs.

• Minimize rework and reduce technical debt.

• Collaborate in value-driven teams utilizing agile methodologies, code reviews, pair programming, and mob programming.

• Share insights and receive mentorship from more seasoned colleagues.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in software development.

• Strong expertise in at least one tech stack (.NET or React).

• Proven capability to work across various stacks with AI assistance.

• Proficient in Spec-Driven Development, including crafting unambiguous specifications, verifiable plans, and acceptance criteria.

• Experience in LLM Context Engineering.

• Responsible utilization of generative and agentive AI tools during development.

• Ability to assess, validate, and correct code produced by AI or third parties.

• Strong object-oriented design skills and/or a solid understanding of design principles.

• Practical experience with unit and/or integration testing.

• Familiarity with Git and collaboration through Pull Requests.

• Experience with SQL databases and fundamental data modeling principles.

• Practical experience with Scrum, Kanban, or XP methodologies.

• Clear writing and specification skills.

• Strong critical thinking and technical skepticism.

• Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to delegate tasks.

• Autonomy and accountability in work.

• Effective communication regarding requirements, technical decisions, and trade-offs.

• Collaborative spirit, respect for the team, and adaptability.

• Genuine interest in the success of the product and the team.
