This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take charge of the development of shared AI components, libraries, and platform functionalities.
• Set benchmarks for reliability, testability, and the developer experience.
• Design and create AI-driven product features from start to finish, encompassing LLM orchestration, prompt engineering workflows, evaluation, and observability.
• Manage tasks from shaping requirements through to deployment, monitoring, and iterative improvement.
• Design and establish CI/CD patterns, deployment pipelines, observability tools, and developer workflows.
• Spearhead the adoption of AI tools, coding assistants, agentic development workflows, and evaluation frameworks.
• Develop and refine scalable SaaS platform systems, including background processing, APIs, ingestion pipelines, search and discovery, and optimizing PostgreSQL performance.
• Clearly communicate engineering direction and convert ambiguous challenges into actionable plans.
• Foster shared understanding among engineering and product stakeholders.
• Mentor engineers, conduct technical reviews, establish best practices, and support team development.
• Over 7 years of practical software development experience.
• Extensive proficiency in at least one modern backend or full-stack programming language.
• Comprehensive understanding of the entire software development life cycle.
• Knowledge of agentic system design, including orchestration, tool utilization, memory, retrieval, evaluation, and agent-to-agent communication.
• Direct experience with production agentic tools, such as LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, OpenAI, Anthropic, Bedrock, vector databases, LangSmith, and PromptLayer.
• Experience in building scalable multi-tenant SaaS applications, ideally using C#, Ruby, Rails, Elixir, Python, or similar technologies.
• Proven ability to deliver production-ready, client-facing agentic solutions from start to finish.
• Strong experience with AWS or similar Azure platforms, including services like Lambda, ECS, S3, RDS, API Gateway, and CloudWatch.
• Capability to design production-quality cloud-native architectures.
• Profound understanding of SaaS architectural principles.
• Demonstrated experience in building developer platforms and delivery systems, including CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, testing frameworks, and rapid, secure delivery processes.
• Solid foundation in background processing systems and high-scale data pipelines.
• Good grasp of PostgreSQL schema design and performance enhancement.
• Experience in designing and managing production REST APIs, including aspects such as authentication, versioning, and validation.
• Familiarity with event-driven development.
• Knowledge of search and discovery systems, including full-text, semantic, or vector search capabilities.
• Strong understanding of security best practices, including authentication, data isolation, and secrets management.
• Proven AI-first development approach utilizing tools like Claude Code, Cursor, and Copilot.
• Experience in government technology, public sector, or other compliance-intensive domains is a plus.
• Must be remote within the USA, with a preference for candidates in the EST time zone.
