Lead AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the design, execution, and continuous operation of agentic AI systems.

• Develop and deploy AI agents in a hands-on manner to create a synchronized digital workforce.

• Enhance internal roles linked to the management of coordinated home care benefits.

• Expand initial agent implementations into a well-structured, coordinated program.

• Establish the technical vision for the architecture and technology stack.

• Build and lead a small engineering team as it grows.

• Provide production solutions that deliver measurable business benefits.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional software engineering experience in delivering and maintaining production systems.

• At least 1 year of hands-on experience in constructing and deploying LLM-powered or agentic systems that are operational in production, rather than merely proof-of-concept or research projects.

• Proven experience in evaluating and benchmarking various third-party LLM providers/models for specific use cases, focusing on metrics such as accuracy, cost, latency, and consistency.

• Experience in shaping and transforming data for optimal consumption by models, including tasks like OCR/text extraction, structured-to-markdown conversion, chunking, and summarization.

• Skilled in managing context window constraints to ensure consistent outputs from agents.

• Strong familiarity with AWS.

• Background in regulated industries such as healthcare, financial services, insurance, or similar fields.

• Ability to navigate data privacy and compliance issues, including the handling of PHI and BAAs, during the integration of third-party LLM providers.

• Some experience in mentoring, leading, or guiding other engineers, either formally or informally.
