Senior Software Engineer, AI-Assisted Full Stack Development

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and deploy impactful features for React/Remix front-end applications and NestJS/Node.js back-end services.

• Create and sustain secure, scalable REST and GraphQL APIs as well as microservices hosted on AWS.

• Take ownership of features from initial design and implementation to production release and continuous optimization.

• Utilize AI co-pilot tools (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Windsurf) for tasks such as code generation, refactoring, test creation, and documentation.

• Develop and disseminate effective prompt patterns and best practices for AI to enhance team productivity and code quality.

• Ensure the validation and security of AI-assisted code through rigorous testing, reviews, and static analysis.

• Write and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests using Jest, React Testing Library, and Playwright/Cypress.

• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines by implementing automated quality gates, security scanning, and rollback strategies.

• Mentor fellow engineers on robust engineering principles and effective AI-driven development practices.

• Keep abreast of emerging AI tools and identify opportunities to enhance delivery with AI-enabled solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5–7+ years of professional software engineering experience, demonstrating strong full-stack capabilities.

• Advanced proficiency in React, TypeScript, and contemporary frameworks such as Remix or Vite.

• Significant back-end experience with Node.js/NestJS and microservice architectures.

• Regular hands-on usage of AI co-pilot tools (Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Windsurf, or similar).

• Proven track record in validating, testing, and securing AI-assisted code.

• Strong experience with AWS services (ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch).

• Experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Bitbucket Pipelines).

• A production-oriented mindset with a focus on maintainability, security, and scalability.

• Excellent communication abilities and a genuine enthusiasm for mentoring others.

• Based in Australia and capable of collaborating effectively across AU time zones.
