Senior Software Engineer – Active TS/SCI Clearance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Design, model, and implement graph data structures that illustrate intricate system relationships, workflows, and time-sensitive processes using tools like Neo4j, Gremlin, or similar technologies.

• Construct and integrate back-end systems for web applications while also contributing to front-end development as necessary.

• Create and sustain robust ETL and data pipelines that encompass structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.

• Develop real-time and event-streaming workflows that effectively manage high-velocity, sequential data streams.

• Deploy and manage enterprise applications within cloud environments utilizing containerization and orchestration.

• Implement GenAI/ML methodologies, including GraphRAG, to address graph-related and NoSQL data challenges.

• Produce comprehensive unit, integration, and API tests to guarantee reliable, scalable, and maintainable solutions.

• Execute simulations and utilize advanced analytics in Python to tackle complex mission-related issues.

⛳️ Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance (or SCI-eligibility), preferably with previous or current DoD SAP/SAR access.

• Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., computer science, machine learning, applied statistics, or mathematics) or equivalent experience, along with 7–8 years of relevant industry experience.

• Demonstrated experience with graph databases and analytics, including Neo4j, Gremlin, or similar tools, and proficiency in query languages such as Cypher or Gremlin.

• Strong programming abilities in contemporary languages including Python, Java, Node.js, or Go.

• Experience in building and integrating web application back ends, with the ability to contribute to front-end development when required.

• Extensive background in data engineering and pipelines, covering ETL processes, data quality, and working with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.

• Practical understanding of software engineering best practices, such as DevOps, DataOps, MLOps, and containerization (e.g., Docker) along with orchestration.

• Familiarity with distributed computing frameworks and cloud platforms, focusing on the deployment of enterprise applications in cloud settings.

• Strong testing capabilities, including unit testing, integration/API testing, ensuring the development of robust and scalable solutions.

• Experience with NoSQL databases and addressing graph-related challenges, including the application of GenAI/ML techniques like GraphRAG.

• Proven track record of aligning data engineering strategies with large-scale interconnected systems to ensure adaptability and scalability.
