Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) – Ecommerce

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Design, maintain, and enhance automated testing frameworks for web, mobile, and API applications.

• Develop and expand automated test coverage across browser, mobile, and backend systems.

• Enhance testing reliability within CI/CD pipelines to boost release confidence and product stability.

• Investigate test failures, conduct root-cause analysis, and efficiently resolve automation issues.

• Minimize flaky tests while continuously improving the stability and reliability of automated test suites.

• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define test strategies, test plans, and acceptance criteria.

• Work closely with Product Managers, Software Engineers, and QA teams to ensure quality is integrated throughout the development lifecycle.

• Review automation code, advocate for testing best practices, and assist in improving overall software testability.

• Support quality initiatives across multiple product teams and contribute to automation standards and engineering excellence.

• Drive continuous improvement in testing processes, tooling, and quality practices across the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience as an SDET, QA Automation Engineer, or Quality Engineer.

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript.

• Practical experience with automation frameworks such as Playwright, Appium, WebdriverIO, or similar tools.

• Proven track record in building automated test coverage for web, mobile, and API applications.

• Experience in testing native mobile applications on both iOS and Android platforms.

• Experience in integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.

• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis capabilities.

• Demonstrated success in reducing flaky tests and enhancing automation reliability.

• Advanced English communication skills.
