Senior Software Development Engineer in Test, Ecommerce

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and enhance automated testing frameworks for web, mobile, and API applications.

• Expand and improve automated test coverage across browser, mobile, and backend systems.

• Enhance testing reliability within CI/CD pipelines to boost release confidence and product stability.

• Analyze test failures, conduct root-cause investigations, and efficiently resolve automation challenges.

• Minimize flaky tests while continuously enhancing the stability and reliability of automated test suites.

• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define test strategies, test plans, and acceptance criteria.

• Partner closely with Product Managers, Software Engineers, and QA teams to embed quality throughout the development lifecycle.

• Review automation code, advocate for testing best practices, and contribute to overall software testability improvements.

• Support quality initiatives across various product teams and help establish automation standards and engineering excellence.

• Drive ongoing improvements in testing processes, tools, and quality practices within the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience as an SDET, QA Automation Engineer, or Quality Engineer.

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript.

• Practical experience with automation frameworks such as Playwright, Appium, WebdriverIO, or similar tools.

• Proven track record of building automated test coverage for web, mobile, and API applications.

• Experience with testing native mobile applications on both iOS and Android platforms.

• Familiarity with integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.

• Strong skills in debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.

• Demonstrated ability to reduce flaky tests and enhance automation reliability.

• Excellent English communication skills.

• Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in defining test strategies and creating test plans.

• History of working closely with Product Managers, Developers, and QA teams in cross-functional settings.

• Familiarity with BrowserStack or LambdaTest.

• Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or CircleCI.

• Experience with testing React applications.

• Skills in API and integration testing.

• Familiarity with Mocha, Allure, or ReportPortal.

• Experience with Cypress.

• Exposure to cloud and infrastructure tools like AWS, Docker, GCP, or Heroku.

• Experience with accessibility testing and/or contract testing.

• Background in SaaS, payments, billing, invoicing, or similar product environments.

• Experience mentoring or coaching engineers on quality and automation best practices.
