Senior Software Development Engineer – Backend

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• In the role of Software Engineer, you will possess over 4 years of experience in coding and tackling challenges on a Large Scale.

• Develop maintainable, scalable, and unit-tested code.

• Demonstrate proficiency in multi-threading and concurrent programming.

• Transform design concepts into functional code.

• Have a solid understanding of databases (e.g., MySQL) and NoSQL technologies (e.g., HBase, Elasticsearch, Aerospike, etc.).

• Create platforms for the reuse of robust and scalable web-based applications.

• Implement incremental modifications to the architecture.

• A minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in coding and problem-solving on a Large Scale.

• Exceptional understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms.

• A degree in BTech, MTech in Computer Science or a related technical field (or equivalent).

• A strong passion for resolving complex and engaging real-world issues.

• A proactive attitude that reflects energy and commitment towards assigned tasks.

• Extensive programming expertise in at least one general programming language (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.) and technical stack to produce maintainable, scalable, and unit-tested code.

• Experience in multi-threading and concurrency programming.

• Superior coding abilities – capable of translating design into code effectively.

• A good grasp of databases (e.g., MySQL) and NoSQL systems (e.g., HBase, Elasticsearch, Aerospike, etc.).

• Development of robust and scalable web applications, creating platforms for reuse.

• Ability to establish the right abstractions and contracts with a focus on separation of concerns in high-level design; functional modeling and module breakdown.

• Incremental architectural changes: conducting impact analysis accordingly.

• Expertise in performance tuning and enhancements in large-scale distributed systems.

• Mentorship for junior team members and promoting team collaboration, breaking down execution into phases.
