This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Design and create serverless and containerized applications using Go and Python.
• Develop and manage microservices on cloud-native compute platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP (e.g., Lambda, Azure Functions, ECS/Fargate, managed container services).
• Utilize Infrastructure as Code with Terraform for managing multi-account and multi-project cloud setups.
• Create and sustain CI/CD pipelines utilizing Jenkins and CloudOS.
• Construct event-driven workflows leveraging cloud-native messaging and orchestration solutions.
• Establish scalable data persistence solutions through managed databases and object storage services.
• Contribute to the establishment of security and compliance controls.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and tracing utilizing cloud-native observability tools and custom metrics.
• Support AI-driven observability efforts, including intelligent alerting, anomaly detection, and signal correlation using telemetry data.
• Enhance service optimization for reliability, performance, and cost-effectiveness across various cloud providers.
• Engage in on-call rotations and respond to production incidents.
• Develop and improve automated workflows for cloud account and project provisioning.
• Create self-service APIs for infrastructure requests and governance.
• Establish identity and access controls across accounts and projects.
• Develop reusable Terraform modules and service templates.
• Build and manage Docker images and oversee deployments through container registries.
• Over 5 years of experience in building and operating production software systems.
• Strong expertise in Go or Python programming languages.
• Practical experience with at least one major cloud service provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience in designing systems intended to operate across multiple cloud environments.
• Familiarity with Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Proficient in Docker and managing containerized workloads.
• Understanding of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Solid grasp of REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven architecture.
• Experience in collaborative engineering environments using Git.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
