Senior Software Development AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Lead the technical definition, architecture, and implementation of Artificial Intelligence capabilities.

• Design the AI/LLM architecture of the project in alignment with enterprise standards.

• Oversee the implementation of AI services using Python and modern frameworks.

• Create secure and resilient integrations between AI models, APIs, and enterprise systems.

• Define strategies for Prompting, Retrieval, Embeddings, Orchestration, and AI Observability.

• Guide decisions regarding performance, scalability, and cost optimization in AI workloads.

• Design AI pipelines and inference flows on GCP.

• Implement APIs and AI services utilizing Python/FastAPI.

• Lead troubleshooting related to response quality, latency, and observability of models.

• Collaborate with Backend, Frontend, Cloud, and Architecture teams.

• Establish technical standards, conduct code reviews, and promote best practices in AI Engineering.

• Document architecture, ADRs, and technical decisions related to AI.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in software engineering.

• More than 2 years of experience building productive AI/LLM solutions.

• Experience leading technical decisions and providing technical mentorship.

• Ability to construct AI architecture from the ground up.

• Strong hands-on approach and the capability to troubleshoot complex issues.

• Minimum B2+ level of English for technical communication and documentation.

• Advanced Python skills.

• Solid experience in developing productive AI/LLM solutions.

• Experience with FastAPI and designing AI-ready APIs.

• Integration experience with LLM models and modern AI services.

• Experience working with RAG Architecture, Embeddings, and Retrieval pipelines.

• Experience in Prompt Engineering and evaluation of AI responses.

• Knowledge of observability and troubleshooting for AI services.

• Operational experience in GCP: Cloud Run, IAM, Secret Manager, Logging/Monitoring.

• Resilient API design and enterprise integrations.

• Experience using Docker, CI/CD, and best deployment practices.
