Senior Software Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, test, and manage highly available backend services using Java and Golang.

• Build sophisticated dialing plans and IVR functionalities, featuring dynamic routing logic and context sharing between calls.

• Deploy, oversee, and maintain production systems on Kubernetes, including participation in on-call rotations.

• Upgrade and sustain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions), while contributing to system reliability and observability.

• Work collaboratively within a small Kanban team: conduct pull request reviews, engage in architectural decision-making, and utilize AI-assisted development tools daily (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude).

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in backend development with Java and a solid understanding of Golang, along with experience in designing and operating microservices in a cloud-native SaaS setting.

• Practical experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Linux/macOS, and deploying, monitoring, and supporting production systems.

• Familiarity with AWS services (e.g., S3, Lambda, SQS), Git/GitHub, and contemporary CI/CD workflows.

• Capability to take ownership of end-to-end features — from design to production — with a strong emphasis on quality, maintainability, and teamwork.

• Regularly utilizes AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude) and is eager to enhance the team's practices in this area; experience with telephony/IVR, SIP/VoIP, event-driven systems, or OpenAPI is a plus.

• Proficiency in French is required for roles based permanently in Quebec to facilitate communication with colleagues, partners, and vendors in that region.

• Proficiency in English is necessary for effective communication with colleagues, clients, and partners (or vendors) primarily located outside Quebec.
