Senior Software Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement new functionalities using clean, testable, and well-documented code.

• Oversee production systems by monitoring, diagnosing issues, and resolving incidents effectively.

• Refactor and modernize existing legacy code to incrementally and safely reduce technical debt.

• Investigate and resolve bugs, identify root causes, and implement measures to prevent regressions.

• Write and uphold automated tests (unit, integration, and end-to-end) as an integral part of the development process.

• Engage in code reviews, providing and receiving technical feedback in a constructive manner.

• Leverage AI-assisted IDEs (such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code) to enhance daily productivity, always critically assessing the generated content.

• Organize and manage your workload using a task management tool (like Jira, Trello, Azure DevOps, Linear), ensuring that status updates and estimates are current.

• Collaborate with Product, Design, and other teams to clarify requirements and suggest effective solutions.

• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of processes, standards, and architectural practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience (5+ years) in software development, with practical exposure to production systems.

• Proficient in at least one modern programming language and its associated ecosystem.

• Strong engineering fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, API design, and SOLID principles.

• Hands-on experience with automated testing and fostering a quality-driven culture (experience with TDD/BDD is a plus).

• Background in refactoring and maintaining legacy code.

• Demonstrated ability to debug and address complex issues, emphasizing root cause analysis.

• Skilled in using Git and version control workflows (branching, pull requests, code reviews).

• Familiar with CI/CD and continuous delivery methodologies.

• Experience utilizing AI-assisted IDEs to expedite tasks, with a critical perspective on the generated code.

• Comfortable navigating task management systems and agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).

• Proactive mindset: anticipates challenges, suggests enhancements, and takes responsibility for deliverables.
