Senior Software Developer, AI Authoring

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with product, design, and various engineering teams to shape the product roadmap.

• Contribute to the technical strategy and architectural choices for Unity AI and backend systems, balancing immediate deliverables with the long-term health of the product.

• Design and create sustainable, scalable solutions for Unity AI offerings, advancing the capabilities of the Unity Editor with innovative AI agent technologies.

• Enhance the reliability, performance, observability, security, and cost-effectiveness of our backend systems, while assisting in the investigation of issues such as performance regressions and network latency through comprehensive observability and monitoring.

• Conduct technical spikes with developers to tackle application infrastructure requirements on Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud.

• Develop and refine the infrastructure and processes for promoting application code from development to production, crafting high-quality, maintainable infrastructure-as-code and Helm deployments, while establishing best practices for Terraform Cloud, Helm, and Kubernetes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in building and delivering complex, user-oriented software products at scale.

• Familiarity with delivering and supporting cloud backend services utilizing Terraform, Kubernetes, Helm, and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Argo, GitHub Actions).

• Practical experience with Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform.

• Demonstrated expertise in observability, encompassing monitoring, logging, alerting, and debugging tools such as Grafana to maintain system reliability and performance.

• Strong understanding of software delivery best practices and network security, coupled with a quality-first approach.

• Capability to convert business and user requirements into technical solutions.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a proven track record of aligning stakeholders across various disciplines and organizations.
