Senior Site Reliability Engineer, Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Bulgaria, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, and maintain scalable infrastructure for both cloud and on-premises environments utilizing Infrastructure as Code tools.

• Create monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions that support service level objectives and enhance long-term reliability.

• Develop deployment platforms and internal tools that facilitate efficient software delivery while ensuring governance and operational excellence.

• Define and standardize infrastructure patterns, deployment methodologies, and configuration management practices.

• Mentor engineers, share technical knowledge, and establish standards for infrastructure.

• Participate in on-call rotations and lead efforts during incident responses.

• Conduct root cause analysis and implement improvements for long-term reliability.

• Collaborate with Security, Networking, and Engineering teams to enhance reliability, performance, and resilience.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in designing, building, and operating production infrastructure in both cloud and on-premises settings.

• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code and configuration management tools such as Terraform, Chef, and Ansible.

• Strong programming abilities in Python, Go, Ruby, or similar programming languages.

• Experience in supporting applications developed with object-oriented programming languages.

• Familiarity with managing distributed systems, containerized workloads, and Kubernetes platforms like Amazon EKS or Rancher.

• Solid understanding of networking basics and web technologies, including DNS, CDNs, load balancing, VPCs, hybrid networking, and packet-level troubleshooting.

• Practical experience in implementing and supporting API gateways, reverse proxies, and modern networking components in infrastructure.

• Collaborative and action-oriented mindset focused on building scalable, reliable platforms and promoting continuous engineering improvements.

• May need to obtain a gaming license from the relevant state agency as a condition of employment.
