This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Develop and manage the AWS GovCloud infrastructure for federal clients.
• Create and implement infrastructure-as-code for specialized environments.
• Take ownership of the container image pipeline for governmental deployments.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to availability and monitoring deficiencies.
• Work closely with assessment partners to facilitate FedRAMP documentation.
• Empower product engineers to improve features across various environments.
• Establish a clear distinction between compliance functions and engineering operations.
• Provide support to federal clients in the CMMC environment, addressing escalations and support challenges.
• Over 5 years of experience in an infrastructure, DevOps, or cloud engineering position, specifically within AWS.
• Practical knowledge of VPC architectures, encryption settings, and AWS services.
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as CDK or Terraform in compliance-driven settings.
• Understanding of compliance-regulated environments including FedRAMP, FISMA, and similar standards.
• Expertise in container image pipelines and security hardening practices.
• Capacity to balance compliance demands with engineering functionality.
• Excellent writing skills for technical plans, runbooks, and documentation purposes.
• Comprehensive knowledge to adapt to various stack technologies, including Ruby, Rails, React, TypeScript, Postgres, Redis, and Kubernetes.
