Senior Site Reliability Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Monitoring and Alerts: Develop, sustain, and enhance user-friendly dashboards and smart alerts (both infrastructure and business rules) to guarantee real-time insight into system health.

• Log Management and APM: Engage in log analysis, parsing, and centralization, while configuring and observing APM metrics to improve performance.

• Automation: Create and oversee automation solutions for provisioning, configuration, and infrastructure deployment (IaC).

• Incident Management: Take part in addressing production challenges and incidents, utilizing observability data for swift diagnosis and root cause analysis.

• SRE Culture: Work collaboratively with development teams to advocate for best practices related to resilience, instrumentation, and metrics gathering.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as an SRE, DevOps Engineer, or in infrastructure positions with a strong emphasis on observability.

• In-depth knowledge of monitoring and observability tools.

• Practical experience with tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Alertmanager, Thanos, Fluent Bit, Promtail, and the Elastic stack (Elasticsearch, Kibana).

• Proficiency in log analysis and parsing, ensuring standardization and high quality of structured data.

• Hands-on experience with APM (Application Performance Monitoring) tools for comprehensive application diagnostics.

• Capability to design effective dashboards and both predictive and reactive alerts while preventing alert fatigue.

• Strong understanding of Unix/Linux operating systems.

• Experience with Cloud Computing (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and container orchestration tools (Docker and Kubernetes).

• Familiarity with CI/CD methodologies.

• Experience using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Puppet.
