Senior Site Reliability Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design the human aspects of reliability, including on-call rotations, incident roles and communication, blameless postmortems, and change management.

• Assist in shaping the platform roadmap by identifying issues, proposing solutions, and overseeing their implementation until adoption.

• Develop and maintain the core reliability toolkit, which encompasses observability, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and incident response.

• Collaborate closely with product engineers to enhance the operability of services.

• Establish our initial Service Level Objectives (SLOs) in collaboration with product and engineering stakeholders.

• Investigate incidents and recurring challenges comprehensively.

• Contribute to maintaining the compliance and security standards required for handling health data.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), platform, DevOps, or backend roles with significant production ownership.

• Proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language, such as Python, Go, TypeScript, or similar.

• A proven history of addressing problems effectively, rather than merely closing tickets.

• Demonstrated ability to utilize process as a valid engineering tool.

• Strong instincts for collaboration.

• Self-motivated and accustomed to working independently without a predefined playbook.

• Preferred: Experience in a regulated environment (healthcare, fintech) or familiarity with HIPAA, SOC 2, or similar frameworks.
