This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Develop systems for managing the lifecycle of applications and infrastructure in a declarative manner, which includes continuous deployment, continuous integration, Kubernetes cluster oversight, and service/workload inventory management.
• Address and prioritize infrastructure challenges, aiming to minimize downtime and respond promptly to alerts.
• Play a key role in shaping the direction of the Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team, ensuring that objectives are in alignment with Counterpart Health’s overarching goals.
• Cultivate a collaborative and high-performing culture that encourages motivation, innovation, and teamwork across various disciplines.
• Enhance and automate infrastructure workflows, such as delivery pipelines and database modifications.
• You possess over 5 years of programming experience and are adept in at least one of the following languages: Python, Go, or Shell Scripting.
• You have extensive knowledge of containerization technologies and orchestration tools, including Docker, Containerd, and Kubernetes, as well as familiarity with CNCF-based technologies like Helm, gRPC, and Prometheus.
• You hold experience with public cloud service providers such as GCP, Azure, or AWS.
• You are well-versed in networking basics, including TCP/IP, UDP, firewalls, routing, DNS, and load balancing.
• You have a background in Linux system administration and a strong grasp of Linux design principles.
• You comprehend essential SRE concepts, including monitoring, performance optimization, and automation.
• You can operate independently with minimal supervision, proactively identifying and addressing issues.
• You possess strong communication and collaboration abilities, enabling you to work effectively with cross-functional teams and adapt to new challenges and advancements in technology.
