
Senior Site Acquisition and Development Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
β’ Technical due diligence β Supervise the processes for technical, environmental, grid, and permitting diligence related to new site acquisitions and project transactions.
β’ Coordination of external consultants β Oversee the engagement of engineering, environmental, legal, and commercial advisors during the diligence phases.
β’ Interface management β Work closely with internal project, engineering, and commercial teams to evaluate development risks and opportunities for value creation.
β’ Portfolio support β Ensure accurate and current site and pipeline status to assist the Head of Development North America in managing the portfolio, growth strategy, and capacity planning.
β’ Execution support β Aid in the preparation of transaction documentation, the closure process, and the transition to IREN's construction and delivery teams.
β’ Team collaboration β Collaborate with Project Development Managers and Associates on ongoing development sites, sharing diligence insights and best practices.
β’ Process improvement β Create best-practice frameworks for project diligence, permitting tracking, and handover documentation.
β’ 7β10 years of experience in renewable energy, data center, or infrastructure project development, engineering advisory, or related technical due diligence.
β’ Knowledge of site acquisition due diligence, project feasibility assessments, and risk analysis across land, power, and permitting workstreams.
β’ Familiarity with land use entitlements, permitting processes, and grid/utility interconnection procedures.
β’ Strong stakeholder management abilities across internal technical teams, external consultants, and the wider Development team, including Directors, Project Development Managers, and Associates.
β’ Proficient in project planning tools and capable of handling multiple concurrent site diligence and transaction workstreams.
β’ Comfortable operating in a dynamic, fast-paced growth environment with changing processes and priorities.
β’ Degree in engineering, environmental science, project management, or a related field.
