Posted 12 hours ago

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Conduct signal integrity (SI) simulations utilizing tools like HyperLynx, HFSS, or CST.

• Detect and address challenges related to crosstalk, signal degradation, reflections, and other performance issues in high-speed designs.

• Review PCB layout designs to guarantee optimal signal performance, offering insights and suggestions to layout and hardware design teams.

• Partner with hardware engineers to enhance high-speed signal paths, ensuring compliance with specifications for interfaces such as DDR5, PCIe, USB4, SerDes, and Ethernet.

• Assess and affirm signal integrity for power delivery networks (PDN) to reduce noise, ground bounce, and power/ground integrity challenges.

• Collaborate closely with PCB layout, hardware, and mechanical teams to ensure design decisions reflect signal integrity best practices.

• Formulate and execute testing strategies to verify signal integrity on prototypes and final products using tools like oscilloscopes, vector network analyzers (VNA), and time domain reflectometry (TDR).

• Develop and sustain signal integrity design guidelines, best practices, and checklists to assist hardware engineers throughout the product development lifecycle.

• Identify and rectify SI issues during the bring-up phase of new products, ensuring minimal effects on time-to-market.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Over 5 years of experience in signal integrity and related fields within hardware engineering, with practical experience in LPDDR5, PCIe, USB4, SerDes, and Ethernet protocols.

• Strong comprehension of high-speed signal transmission concepts, including impedance, crosstalk, noise, and signal attenuation.

• Expertise in SI analysis tools such as Ansys HFSS, SIWave, CST, or other similar industry-standard software.
