Senior Serverless Cloud Engineer – AI-Assisted

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Design, create, and sustain scalable serverless applications utilizing AWS.

• Construct and oversee infrastructure with AWS CDK v2, which includes the establishment and upkeep of various deployment stacks.

• Develop and enhance AWS Lambda functions leveraging Node.js 22 and ARM64 architectures.

• Design and execute event-driven architectures that utilize Amazon EventBridge.

• Create asynchronous processing workflows utilizing Amazon SQS and SNS.

• Assist in authentication and identity management solutions via Amazon Cognito and engage in the transition to Okta-based authentication services.

• Develop and refine integrations with Aurora PostgreSQL Serverless v2 databases.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish technical solutions and architectural standards.

• Maintain and optimize CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and infrastructure automation.

• Contribute to the management and optimization of a Turborepo-based monorepo environment.

• Engage in code reviews, technical design discussions, and architectural decision-making.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of software engineering experience with a strong emphasis on cloud-native applications.

• Demonstrable experience in building and deploying production workloads on AWS.

• Strong practical experience with AWS CDK v2 and Infrastructure as Code methodologies.

• Extensive background in developing AWS Lambda functions using Node.js.

• A solid grasp of event-driven architectures and asynchronous processing patterns.

• Familiarity with Amazon EventBridge, SQS, and SNS.

• Experience in implementing authentication and authorization solutions using Amazon Cognito or similar identity providers.

• Strong expertise in PostgreSQL databases, ideally with Aurora PostgreSQL Serverless.

• Experience in working within monorepo environments, preferably utilizing Turborepo.

• A robust understanding of software design principles, system scalability, and distributed systems.

• Familiarity with Git-based development workflows and CI/CD automation.

• Experience with AI-Assisted Development is essential: Candidates should be proficient in VS Code and GitHub Copilot beyond mere autocomplete features. Required skills include creating Copilot instruction files to provide repository context, building reusable prompt libraries for infrastructure automation, and leveraging Copilot Agent workflows to produce high-quality AWS CDK constructs, serverless configurations, and database-related code.
