Senior Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Take ownership and lead the execution of several critical security initiatives.

• Work collaboratively with leadership to define the roadmap for the team.

• Provide mentorship to junior members within the Security team.

• Collaborate with engineering, IT, and product teams to enhance security.

• Advocate for continuous improvement within Security Engineering.

• Spearhead the PCI-DSS Compliance initiative.

• Design, implement, and maintain robust security controls.

• Participate in threat modeling, risk assessments, and incident response efforts.

• Develop and enhance internal security policies, standards, and tools.

• Support and lead initiatives aimed at raising security awareness.

• Continuously assess emerging threats, technologies, and best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of practical experience in security engineering.

• Strong understanding of security principles, vulnerabilities, and prevalent attack techniques.

• Proficient in Python, particularly in writing Lambda functions.

• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes in live production environments.

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and secure deployment methodologies.

• Excellent knowledge of cloud platforms, specifically AWS or Google Cloud.

• Significant experience with PCI is a major advantage.

• Experience in application security, DLP platforms, and observability is a plus.
