Senior Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Cyprus.

📋 Description

• Take ownership and lead the execution of several critical security initiatives.

• Work alongside leadership to influence the team’s roadmap by sharing your expertise.

• Guide and mentor junior members of the Security team to foster their professional development.

• Partner with engineering, IT, and product teams to integrate security best practices into the development lifecycle and operational workflows.

• Advocate for ongoing enhancements in Security Engineering by consistently evaluating processes, implementing automation, and promoting standardization.

• Spearhead the PCI-DSS Compliance initiative in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.

• Design, implement, and sustain security controls and measures across Welltech’s systems, networks, and cloud environments.

• Engage in threat modeling, risk assessments, and incident response, contributing to a proactive and resilient security posture.

• Develop and enhance internal security policies, standards, and tools to align with company-wide security objectives.

• Support and lead initiatives for security awareness, fostering a robust security culture within the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in security engineering with a proven track record in implementing and managing security solutions.

• Strong understanding of security principles, vulnerabilities, and prevalent attack techniques.

• Proficiency in Python, particularly in writing Lambda functions.

• Experience with Kubernetes in production settings.

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and secure deployment methodologies.

• Extensive knowledge of cloud platforms, specifically AWS or Google Cloud.

• Significant advantage: Experience with PCI.

• Desirable: Background in application security, DLP platforms, and observability.
