This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Security Engineer based in Toronto, tasked with identifying and aligning technology opportunities with customer business challenges and objectives.
• Assist in crafting business value propositions centered around Tenable Network Security products and solutions.
• Propel sales through technical expertise, account management capabilities, sales proficiency, and an exceptional customer focus.
• Collaborate as an integral part of a sales team to meet or surpass revenue targets.
• Provide engaging technical presentations and live demonstrations of Tenable Enterprise products, with an emphasis on the Tenable One Platform.
• Oversee enterprise software trials and Proof of Concept evaluations, ensuring successful outcomes in line with customer business goals.
• Respond to technical inquiries and offer consultative guidance on security best practices, compliance frameworks, and risk management.
• Utilize advanced technical expertise to showcase the value and impact of Tenable’s Exposure Management solutions in addressing real-world customer challenges.
• Foster and enhance relationships with current customers while identifying and nurturing new strategic opportunities.
• Present thought leadership content and represent Tenable at industry events, executive briefings, and sessions with customers.
• Leverage strategic technical selling abilities to engage key stakeholders — from engineers to CISOs — and influence their decision-making processes.
• Travel as necessary to support crucial customer engagements, sales opportunities, and events.
• Work collaboratively across teams with product management and engineering to gather customer feedback and prioritize essential cloud use cases.
• Contribute to future innovations by pinpointing gaps and suggesting ideas for new product features and capabilities.
• Provide clear and actionable status reports, detailing key trends, upcoming events, and alignment with territory and organizational goals.
• 3–5 years of experience in a customer-facing technical sales position, with a proven history as a trusted and effective sales engineer.
• Demonstrated success in leading and securing technical proof-of-value (PoV) engagements with strategic enterprise clients.
• Ability to customize technical demonstrations and architectural discussions to fit specific customer environments and business requirements.
• Proven solution architecture capabilities, with the adaptability to think on your feet and resolve issues in real-time during complex customer interactions.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to deliver impactful presentations to a diverse audience — from engineers and security professionals to executive stakeholders.
• A customer-focused approach, with an unwavering emphasis on delivering business value and fostering long-term relationships.
• A team-oriented mindset, dedicated to knowledge sharing, cross-functional achievement, and proudly representing our One Tenable team culture.
• Willingness to travel as required for strategic customer meetings, key industry events, and field enablement activities.
• Valid Driver's License/Transportation.
• Prior experience in a security-focused technical pre-sales role, supporting enterprise clients and strategic accounts.
• Working knowledge of Vulnerability Management.
• Familiarity with Web Application Security.
• Understanding of Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge of DevOps Security (Containers, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code).
• Experience in Operational Technology Security.
• Awareness of AI providers and use cases.
• Proficiency in Attack Surface Management.
• Knowledge of Active Directory.
• Strong understanding of compliance frameworks and governance best practices, including CIS Benchmarks, NIST, or ISO standards.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or a related field), accompanied by 3-5 years of direct Sales Engineering or Solution Architecture experience.
• Industry-recognized security certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, CEH, CCSP/CCSK, or equivalent.
