This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Continuously observe the product roadmaps, release notes, and vendor communications for Claude and ChatGPT to forecast platform modifications ahead of their implementation.
• Convert forthcoming features into proactive decisions regarding configuration, policy, and enablement, rather than reactive responses.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with the account teams from Anthropic and OpenAI; identify updates to Terms of Service, changes in data processing agreements, and shifts in acceptable use policies before they catch us off guard.
• Administer AI console environments across both platforms at an expert level.
• Oversee the management of organizational settings files for Claude and ChatGPT using Git, ensuring they are version-controlled, reviewed, and deployed like infrastructure.
• Take charge of the API key lifecycle management and enforce secrets hygiene for all AI integrations.
• Administer SSO/SCIM provisioning for AI platforms, ensuring access is secure, auditable, and well-maintained.
• Create token tracking and financial dashboards so that leadership can understand AI costs by team, use case, and month.
• Develop anomaly detection for AI expenditures; if there’s an unexpected spike, you’ll catch it before accounting does.
• Generate regular usage trend reports and ROI assessments for leadership that extend beyond a simple "we use AI frequently."
• Construct and manage internal MCP servers that securely integrate AI capabilities into our workflows.
• Serve as the in-house subject matter expert on agentic AI builds, including architecture, risk factors, failure modes, and unexpected issues.
• Identify and address prompt injection vulnerabilities in internal AI-driven tools.
• Ensure that no sensitive or regulated data (PII, PCI, PHI) is included in AI prompts. Design the guardrails rather than just the policy.
• Stay informed about AI-specific incident response strategies; when an AI integration encounters issues, you will be an essential participant.
• Act as the primary liaison between IT Engineering and the AI Adoption Committee, providing operational insights to adoption decisions.
• Actively engage in the AI Working Group; link platform capabilities to actual usage within the company.
• Collaborate closely with the Governance & Trust team, which leads AI policy and governance, serving as their technical counterpart by implementing, informing, and flagging issues without owning the policy itself.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and a team-oriented mindset.
• Over 5 years of experience in security engineering, IT engineering, or a DevOps role with significant security responsibilities throughout.
• Practical DevOps experience: Git-based configuration management, CI/CD, and an infrastructure-as-code approach applied to platform administration.
• Direct, hands-on experience managing Claude (Anthropic) and/or ChatGPT (OpenAI) at an organizational level; this involves console administration, managed settings, and enterprise controls, not just daily usage.
• Understanding of AI risk factors, including prompt injection, data leakage, agentic failure modes, and incident response strategies when AI systems misbehave.
• Proficient in writing production-quality code in Python and/or TypeScript, particularly for dashboards, automation, and MCP server development.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and cloud-native environments.
• Familiarity with SSO/SCIM provisioning in SaaS-heavy environments (such as Okta or similar).
• Strong written communication skills; you will regularly translate technical changes in AI platforms into clear guidance for non-technical stakeholders.
• Flexible & Remote-First Culture: Work remotely with opportunities for team meetups, bi-annual destination summits, and a monthly stipend for coworking spaces, phone, and internet expenses.
• Our Approach to Equity: Receive stock options upon hiring and promotion. Additionally, you can take part in secondary offerings and have 10 years to exercise your options (yes, you read that correctly: 10 years!).
• 100% Covered Health Insurance: We fully cover your health, vision, and dental insurance premiums for you and your dependents. There are no deductions from your paycheck.
• ∞ Flexible Time Off: Take the time you need – to perform at your best, we believe in the importance of recharging and resetting.
• 18 Weeks Paid Parental Leave: We provide 18 weeks for birthing parents and 12 weeks for non-birthing parents, with the flexibility to use it all at once or spread out over your child’s first year.
