Senior Security Advisor, Identity

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Idaho.

📋 Description

• Establish, manage, and continuously enhance the enterprise identity and access management strategy, roadmap, and target architecture.

• Create and uphold a prioritized list of identity initiatives, while balancing user experience and risk mitigation.

• Report on roadmap advancements, challenges, and suggestions to leadership and the CISO.

• Direct and engage in the design, configuration, and deployment of identity solutions utilizing Okta and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).

• Propel the implementation and refinement of IGA capabilities, including access certifications, role management, and joiner/mover/leaver processes.

• Supervise PAM tools and processes, encompassing privileged account provisioning, session management, and just-in-time access controls.

• Establish and enforce identity standards, policies, and practices for adoption across engineering and operations teams.

• Act as the main liaison for identity platform vendors, overseeing contracts, escalations, and alignment with roadmaps.

• Foster robust working relationships with clinical leads, IT operations, data governance, and HR to ensure identity controls meet workforce requirements.

• Articulate intricate identity concepts in clear terms to non-technical stakeholders throughout the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in a senior identity or IAM advisory position, preferably within a regulated sector.

• Familiarity with SCIM, SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, and OpenID Connect protocols.

• Extensive hands-on knowledge of Okta (Workforce Identity), including configuration, SSO, MFA, lifecycle management, and API access management.

• Strong understanding of Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD, encompassing conditional access, PIM, hybrid identity, and B2B federation.

• Comprehensive grasp of IGA principles and tools: access reviews, role-based access control (RBAC), and provisioning workflows.

• Practical experience with PAM solutions and governance of privileged accounts.

• Capability to function at both strategic and technical levels, equally adept at drafting a roadmap document or evaluating an integration design.

• Strong skills in stakeholder engagement with experience in influencing senior decision-makers.
