This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Take full ownership of the paid search and intent-driven performance strategy and execution across platforms such as Google Ads (Search, Performance Max, Demand Gen, YouTube, Display) and Microsoft/Bing, ensuring budget pacing, bidding strategies, and performance meet targets for new shoppers and efficiency.
• Accelerate growth in First-Time Shoppers and Global Unique Shoppers, with a clear objective to reduce cost-per-first-time shopper on high-CPA channels (e.g., Search, Bing) while increasing volume.
• Manage Google Ads as a unified cross-surface platform, utilizing automated bidding, audience signals, first-party conversion data, and campaign structure to optimize incremental acquisition.
• Collaborate with the performance-creative function and Creative team to develop, test, and refine search, video, and display assets, translating performance insights into the next set of creative concepts.
• Create and maintain a continuous experimentation roadmap (A/B and incrementality testing) across audiences, creative, bidding, and landing pages to enhance learnings over time.
• Work closely with the Lifecycle team to ensure that acquired users are monitored for engagement and retention, focusing on shopper quality and downstream value, rather than just front-end volume.
• Uphold strict channel hygiene and compliance, navigating platform policies and the cannabis regulatory landscape (state-level legal framework) to maintain accounts in good standing.
• Collaborate with Finance and the Senior Director on growth forecasts, budget scenarios, and monthly/quarterly planning, aligning plans with state-level market priorities (P1/P2 markets).
• Partner with Media Operations on standardizing tracking (Branch/UTM), conversion measurement, and reporting to ensure accurate, decision-grade performance data.
• Assess, test, and onboard new platforms, partners, and ad technologies as opportunities or risks arise, building resilience against channel volatility.
• Present channel performance, insights, and recommendations to marketing leadership and cross-functional stakeholders, including the new state-level operational cadence.
• 5-8 years of hands-on experience in paid media with extensive expertise in paid search (Google Ads) and intent-based, auction-driven buying, along with comprehensive knowledge of all campaign types.
• Proven track record of managing substantial paid budgets and efficiently scaling user acquisition against defined CPA/ROAS and volume objectives.
• Strong analytical skills: proficient in metrics such as CPA, CPC, CTR, ROAS, and downstream quality/retention indicators, with the capability to transform data into actionable insights.
• Established experimentation mindset with experience in designing and implementing A/B and incrementality tests.
• Experience collaborating with creative teams on performance-driven creative across search, video, and display assets.
• History of effective cross-functional collaboration with Product, Creative, Lifecycle/CRM, Data, and Finance teams.
• Excellent organizational, prioritization, and communication abilities, with the capacity to work independently in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.
