This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Execute software testing tasks for user stories within the Agile Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) by creating automated tests and directly enhancing automation coverage.

• Assess deliverables and activities outlined in test plans for accuracy, consistency, completeness, and adherence to standards.

• Develop additional automated tests as required to guarantee comprehensive coverage for each release.

• Develop and Optimize Automation Scripts and Frameworks: Design, code, and maintain automation scripts and frameworks utilizing Python (or another modern programming language).

• Utilize automation tools such as Appium, Selenium, and Robot.

• Dedicate the majority of your time to writing code and constructing scalable automation solutions.

• Automation of Testing Processes: Create automated frameworks for unit, integration, UI, and mobile testing.

• Conduct exploratory testing as necessary to inform automation efforts.

• Generate test datasets and run automated test suites to ensure high-quality releases.

• Automation Solutions Customization: Modify automation frameworks to comply with regulatory and product-specific requirements in the medical field.

• Maintenance and Enhancement of Automated Systems: Continuously enhance automation frameworks and test suites.

• Recognize and implement opportunities to substitute manual testing with automation.

• Collaboration and Technical Leadership: Collaborate closely with developers and QA team members to incorporate automation into the development lifecycle.

• Offer technical guidance when necessary, though this role does not involve leading or managerial responsibilities.

• Technical Documentation and System Documentation: Create clear and concise documentation for automated tests, frameworks, and processes.

• Ensure that documentation aligns with regulatory and compliance standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a scientific, technical, or engineering field.

• Over 5 years of experience in Software Testing and/or Software Quality Assurance.

• More than 5 years of experience as a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with recent practical automation coding experience.

• 4 to 6 years of hands-on coding experience in Python (or a similar modern programming language).

• Must possess strong technical skills and have experience in testing mobile applications.

• Must have experience in UI or API automation; mobile automation with Appium is a significant advantage.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.
